Map to Athens, IL US (From 29 come in to Athens until you hit the T
(grocery store on the left). Then take a right and
go 3 or 4 blocks to Athens/Petersburg blacktop (just before railroad
tracks) and take a left. You will go by some government housing on
your left and aprox. two
blocks on the left is the entrance to the park. Straight ahead
is the community center.
From 97 go past New Salem State Park
and when you come out of curve that will take you back North about 1 or 2
miles south of Petersburg
you will see the Athens/Petersburg blacktop ( should be a green sign that
says Athens
to the right). As soon as you turn on to this road you will cross the
river. It is 6 or 7 miles to the park which will be on the right.
Straight ahead is the community center.
There is a gravel
drive on the left (east) side of the building to
take back to the field. There isn't a lot of parking back there so
some may have to park in the blacktop parking lot by the baseball diamond
or around the circle drive and walk back.)
